Deadened

written: Apr. 4, 1999

Deadened, deadened to the world
We try to speak to Angels
Empty thoughts
Joyless laughter
Fills the vacant mirrors
We confine ourselves

Emptiness is what the dreams is made
Emptiness is where we fall
Somewhere tossed between the sheets
Make up the moment

In silence we write
In silence we homage the part that's dead
Dead and forever lost

We speak nothing
We hear nothing
We see nothing

Emptiness fills the room

Put it all on the self
Put it all away
And the monster on the bed we all ignore
And the green eyed creature on the toilet we don't see

All is lost
All is already forgotten

Emptiness fills the room

And the broken things are thrown away
And the laughter and chitter chatter fills the room

Nothing of importance
Nothing of meaning
Just empty conversation
(And my silence fills the room)
